Thomas Raab is an Austrian writer, translator, and editor with an educational back­ground as a scientist. He was born in 1968 in Graz and now lives in Vienna. His first novel Verhalten, German for "Behavior", was published in 2002 in Cologne, and received critical acclaim. For fifteen years Raab has been focusing as a member of an artistic research group on the reactivation of the method of syste­matic introspection in the psychology of thought and affect. So far, Raab has released four monographic publications. From 2013 to 2018 he taught creative writing at the University of Art and Design in Linz, from 2018 at the Merz Aka­demie in Stutt­gart.

As a translator Raab from English to German specializes in art theory, philosophy, science, technology, and public relations.
