Thomas Raab (*1968 in Graz, Austria) currently lives in Vienna as an independent writer, cognitive scientist, and translator. Studies of science and philosophy at the universities in Graz, Vienna, and Berkeley. D.Sc. 1998. Since 1999 collaborator with Oswald Wiener. DOC Scholarship of the Austrian Academy of Sciences 1996/1997, Erwin-Schrödinger Scholarship of the Austrian Science Fund 2000/2001, Heimrad-Bäcker Patronage Prize for Literature 2005, State Scholarship for Literature 2005/2006. Numerous contributions to literary, art, and science journals (including manuskripte, springerin, Literatur und Kritik, kolik, Behavioral and Brain Sciences, Engineering Geology) as well as for artists' catalogs. Works on the foundation of a scientific aesthetics in practice and theory.
